Plan B came into action.

I went to… a very expensive shop with a name nobody has every heard of i promise you… and bought a frame. (Its like. bigger than A1, but not A0. A1.5) anyway.

Yeah. Put my original drawn map on tracing paper in there. It kind of gets cut off about 2 inches all around it because of the frames white boarder, but i suppose it doesn’t really matter.

So yeah. There’s my final piece, ready to go up in the show.

If you want to check it out before then in more detail, its in Robs illustration room.
No flash photography on it please, No touching, And its a £5 entry to see it…

My World - Images mixed with my vector map.
Zoom Map - Hand drown map, same on each time, just getting closer to one point on the map.
Names - Names i came up with for my world / places in my world.
#Names - After the idea of normal names, i decided to go for a number instead, tese are the numbers i thought up.
Idea Of Patterns - This is a mixture of my hand drawn map/s and the peces of fabric patterns i scanned in recently, to show the idea for patterns.
A Guide To #947 - A simple guide to what all the different parts on my final map/globe are.

#947 - The story of my world and how it came to be.

I finished the maps on the globe. It didn’t actually take me as long as i had expected. Not sure if i fully like the outcome i kind of think the sea and land need to be more separate. If that makes sence…

Im going to screw a hook into the top of it, and hang it from the roof for the show / in the illustration room hopefully.

Wandering round Skipton Castle. Saw this map. Told me where i was.
Second one is the inside of my little cousins coat. Thought it was cool.

My Globe finally dried, So iv started drawing the lines on it and the separate islands.

Been doing some screen printing today with Fred. He helped make my screen but unfortunately. it didn’t work out too well. The lines were just too small and grey.
I tried printing it on some paper in white ink, and black, both watered down but still didn’t work.

Back-up plan now has to come into action.

I forgot to take a picture of the prints, and left them in Robs room at uni to show him and Savwo. I’ll take one later.

Today i nicked a load of little scrap pieces of material with flower patterns on, off my housemate to make a little book of, to kind of, in a way, i hope, possibly, show where the idea of patterns has come from.

Been in uni today just scribbling down some ideas for a “Guide” book to the map. Not really sure where i’m going with these…

For my world. i’ve decided its is going to be covered in graffiti, Like a proper city is.So i’ve been scribbling out some graffiti style type for the name of my world, Which so far. is Toxie1.After having a discussion with my house mate, i think i might be changing this to a number. so like “#749” this way it doesn’t actually mean anything for the world’s name. And could make you think… Is there more of these places?
